![]() ![]() … I still can’t fathom how I got these May results… I DO understand getting Ravenclaw, as I’ve always been borderline Ravenclaw/Slytherin…. For some reason, I do not have a screenshot of these results, but I do have four more results from different times throughout 2018: The first time I took it, I got a high percentage of Slytherin, of course. It’s all relative to the results you obtain. I was told to bookmark it, and take it again at different times throughout the year because the results are apt to change depending on where you’re at in your life at that time what you’re going through, your mentality, etc. This one could be equated with a personality quiz, which I believe works better for sorting as it actually focuses on a variety of trait-driven questions, rather than aesthetic-driven questions. This quiz was introduced to me by members of the HP Fam on Twitter (I cannot pinpoint who exactly, as it was sort of floating around amongst members), and quickly realized that it involved a bit more than just regular questions. What spurred this endeavor was my “quarterly” revisitation to the TIME Sorting Quiz. ( warning: copious amounts of self-examination now in progress) ![]() MOVING on to the crux of the article, the “sorting ceremonies”. (edit* said oldest child got sick today, so I had to take a break from writing this to take care of her and clean everything. If we bring presents home and she sees, she’ll know we got them and there won’t be a way to explain it… it’ll turn into a game of “convince me”. I’ll have to get a babysitter to go shopping though, because now that Kid #1 is old enough to understand Santa, but also old enough to know when she’s being fooled, we gotta be careful. She was satisfied with that! Wish she’d have been that satisfied at the store yesterday when all she wanted was a giant kinder egg and would NOT accept that Santa would be bringing her one for free. So I explained that we get to do a fun countdown to Christmas Day, but we forgot (only three days late, no biggie), so Santa sent these to us last night to make sure we were keeping track of the days. Lo and behold, I hear a great gasp from the living room as I’m changing the younger one. Last night, for instance, I found two Paw Patrol themed Advent calendars in my closet– so I put them under the tree for my oldest to find this morning. ![]() Not only that, I think my favorite part so far is pretending that Santa is real and coming up with brilliant explanations for everything to do with Santa and toys and lists and stockings and just the whole Christmas process. I get to relive my childhood in different ways and re-experience the joy. Well, eight if you count this:ĪNYWAY, HI! It’s December!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!!! I have two very young children, I’m ALL ABOUT the merry season now. Honestly, I wasn’t counting, and in the end I still did it SEVEN TIMES. ![]()
